Transformative values
Understanding how values can motivate positive change
How can we build societies where sustainable thinking and action are the norm? One way is by engaging values to generate a broader and deeper commitment to pro-social and pro-environmental attitudes and behaviours. In this workshop, you will be introduced to introduced to the social psychology of human values and explore how to engage intrinsic values to build a public demand for change.
Over the course of five interactive, online workshops, you will:
- Be introduced to the existing research on human values and discover how values work
- Have the opportunity to examine your own personal values and how these show up in their work and lives
- Explore why values are important to bringing about systemic and durable social and environmental change
- Develop new ideas on how to engage values in your own work
- Meet others in similar roles who are also considering how to work at the level of values
This workshop builds on the work of Shalom H. Schwartz and the Common Cause Foundation.
