Money matters

The power of what you earn and spend

Did you know that the biggest source of most companies’ emissions originates from their choice of bank and pension provider? For example, Google and their parent company, Alphabet hold $136 billion for acquisitions, tax and salaries. That money is kept in just a few banks. Based on how those banks invest, that money has a carbon footprint.

In fact, this carbon footprint is responsible for more emissions than the WHOLE of their supply chain.

And for individuals, did you know that your choice of bank account and where you choose to spend your money could be doubling the carbon impact of going vegan, quitting flying and choosing the bike over the car, COMBINED?

In this workshop, we’ll explore how you can use your money and the choices you make about where you save it, where you invest it and where you spend it to reduce your carbon footprint, increase your ecological handprint, and choose to live more sustainably.
