Workshops
From linear to circular thinking
Understanding the hows and whys of the circular economy
Our current ways of living and working involve extracting resources, using them, and then throwing them away. Unfortunately, that means that are also wasting precious – and limited – resources.
How can we address this and contribute to tackling climate change, too? By shifting to a circular economy.
In this fun, interactive workshop, we will consider which resources we use the most and which are becoming increasingly scarce; how our consumption and waste practices challenge us and the environment; and what how a circular economy may be the answer to many of our problems.
You’ll leave with a better understanding of the problems associated with our use of natural resources and the waste we generate, and how you can be part of creating a hopeful, sustainable future – individually, in your community, and within your personal resource limitations.
This workshop is a Circular Economy Collage and can be combined with other modules and workshops to create tailored workshops that can be run in-house for groups and businesses.

Shifting from a linear economy to a circular economy is one of the ways that we can tackle climate change and create hopeful, sustainable futures. But what IS the circular economy, why is it better than what we have now, and how can we start to think and act with circularity in mind, individually and collectively?
In this fun, interactive workshop, we’ll use a thought-provoking card game as a way to help you build a clearer understanding of the issues related to our use of natural resources and the waste we generate.
First, we’ll recreate the big picture of how our current linear economy works, and why it’s a problem. We’ll then explore what a circular economy looks like and the many challenges it solves. And finally, we’ll work out how we can contribute to a circular future through our voices and choices: individually, collectively, and within the businesses that we work for.
During this workshop, we’ll consider the resources we use the most and which are becoming scarce; why design is crucial in creating a circular future; how our consumption and waste practices are causing challenges for us and the environment; and what a circular future might look like.
This is a Circular Economy Collage workshop, and for in-house and custom workshops, it can be combined with other modules and workshops depending on your needs.
